MySQL provides support for ODBC by means of MySQL Connector/ODBC, the
family of MyODBC drivers. This is the reference for the Connector/ODBC
product family of MyODBC drivers that provide ODBC 3.5x compliant
access to the MySQL Database System. It teaches you how to install
MyODBC and how to use it. There is also information about common
programs that are known to work with MyODBC and answers to some of the
most frequently asked questions about MyODBC.
This reference applies to MyODBC 3.51. You can find a manual for an
older version of MyODBC in the binary or source distribution for that
version.
This is a reference to the MySQL ODBC drivers, not a general ODBC
reference. For more information about ODBC, refer to
`http://www.microsoft.com/data/'.
The application development part of this reference assumes a good
working knowledge of C, general DBMS knowledge, and finally, but not
least, familiarity with MySQL. For more information about MySQL
functionality and its syntax, refer to `http://dev.mysql.com/doc/'.
If you have questions that are not answered in this document, please
send a mail message to <myodbc@lists.mysql.com>.
