SaRunLevel(3tlib)

SaRunLevel: SaRunLevelGet, SaRunLevelIsSingleUser -- determine system run level

Synopsis

SaRunLevelGet
SaRunLevelIsSingleUser

Description

SaRunLevelGet- returns run level

SaRunLevelIsSingleUser- determines if system is in single user mode

These interfaces determine the run level of the local host system as defined by init(1M) and reported by who(1). The system run level is important for some applications that work differently in different states or may require the services provided by a particular run level. The most useful distinction is likely to be between single and multi-user run levels.

SaRunLevelGet
returns the run level as reported by "who(C) -r".

SaRunLevelIsSingleUser
returns true (1) or false (0) depending on whether or not the system is in single user mode.
