The Intel Advanced Programmable Interrupt Controller (APIC) architecture provides multiple programmable interrupt controllers on multiprocessor platforms. Drivers written for UnixWare 7 systems can use this architecture without any special coding.
On SCO OpenServer systems, APIC is supported only for multiprocessor systems because it is based on the GPI implementation.
