Managing Hot Plugable controllers

Hot Plug machines provide the capability to physically add, remove or replace a controller on a ``hot'' (running) system. Typically, hot plug machines have a built-in hot plug controller, and power can be turned on or off to selected slots.

``The Hot Plug Manager interface'' provides a convenient, interactive way to perform most hot plug administration. The Hot Plug Manager is only available on machines that support the hot plug feature.


NOTE: This release of the Hot Plug Manager supports only PCI-based controllers.
