Advanced configuration options

Some adapters allow you to set advanced options to specify:

Layer 2 Mode - D-channel Connection

This setting controls whether ISDN D-channel/Layer 2 connections are opened only when there are open B-channel connections, are kept open whenever the driver is running after the initial B-channel connection, or are kept open continually. These settings are often dependent on the ISDN switch requirements; consult your ISDN provider for more information.

TEI value assignment

The Terminal Endpoint Identifier (TEI) value enables data in the ISDN control-channel to be assigned for the logical connection between ISDN network termination (NT) and ISDN device. With the parameter TEI the ISDN card can be configured for automatic issue of the TEI value or a fixed value can be assigned to it. It is not usually necessary to assign a fixed value unless there is a special switching requirement, such as an internal PBX. Consult your ISDN provider for more information.
