Administering port monitors

Displaying information about port monitor status

The -l and -L options to sacadm request port monitor status information and may be invoked by any user on the system.

A request for information using the -l option prints column headers and aligns the information under the appropriate headings. Empty fields are indicated by a dash. Only the -p and -t options can be used in combination with -l.

The -L option is provided for use in scripts; the format of its output (a condensed version of -l output without headers) lends itself well to online parsing, but is less easy to read than the output of -l. The information is displayed in colon-separated fields, and empty fields are indicated by two successive colons.
