Administering the ttymon port monitor

The who command

When used with the -lH option, the who command examines the /var/adm/utmp file and lists running port monitors. When used with a -u option, it lists all users who are currently logged in. See the who(1) manual page for complete information on its use.

Listing running port monitors

To list all RUNNING port monitors, enter:

who -lH

For example, when ttymon in express mode is monitoring a line, the name field is ``LOGIN'' as shown for term/03 in the following example.

   #who -lH
NAME LINE TIME IDLE PID COMMENTS
   LOGIN term/03 Jun 17 12:49 old 6744
   ttymon1 . Jun 17 12:50 old 8234
   ttymon3 . Jun 17 12:50 old 8235

Listing all logged-in users

To list all users who are currently logged, enter:

who -u

The following is example output:

   root console Jun 17 13:07 . 8303
   john tp/15 Jun 17 13:13 0:01 8353
