All MIF files located in the /etc/dmi/mifs directory will be installed when the Service Provider is loaded. Successfully installed MIF files will be moved to the /etc/dmi/mifs/backup directory.
Component instrumentation must determine its component ID before requesting services from the Service Provider. To determine its component ID, component instrumentation should register itself as a management application and perform the search itself.
