Writing a SCOadmin manager

Host menu

For a remote-capable application, the leftmost menu should be labeled Host. The SCOadmin services library provides a routine for handling the open host task. Use SaOpenHostCB(3tlib) as the callback for Open Host. Alternative methods of selecting hosts are documented in SaHost(3tlib) and SaOpenHost(3tlib).

In addition, the Open Host Group selection is available to replicate operations across a group of machines. For an example of how to implement this function, examine the code for the System Defaults Manager in /usr/lib/scoadmin/defaults/defaultsGUI.

NOTE: Managers lacking remote capabilities should place Exit in the menu designated for objects.
