System default files

/etc/default/init

This file defines the PANICBOOT parameter.

If PANICBOOT is set to ``NO'' (default) and the system panics, you are prompted whether to save a memory dump, and you have to press <Enter> to reboot.

If PANICBOOT is set to ``YES'' and the system panics, a memory dump is saved to /dumpfile and the system is automatically rebooted. If /dumpfile already exists, it is overwriten.
