EELS supports a filtering mechanism that enables you to specify which messages get written to the EELS database according to criteria specified in filter blocks in eels_config(4eels).
The filter block mechanism is also used as a way of triggering the execution of scripts specified in execute-script blocks. For more information, see ``Executing scripts using filters''.
