Purging data from an EELS table

Under normal conditions, you should not find it necessary to manually purge records from the EELS database. Records are automatically purged when archives are made, thus maintaining manageable database sizes. However, if you do need to purge all the records from a specified EELS database table, use the -p option of eels_db_admin(1Meels).

For example, you may need to purge a database table so that you can then delete it. Use the following command to purge a table called ``events'' from a database called Node_1:

eels_db_admin -p Node_1 events
