Managing system performance

Managing system performance

Your UnixWare® 7 system is delivered with a default kernel configuration that probably will meet your needs and be satisfactory for most applications. However, you can tune the kernel more specifically for your environment. Tuning can correct performance problems and optimize performance. You might need to reconfigure your system to provide the service required by your users and the applications they use.

This topic provides suggestions for managing your system, and discusses tools and procedures you can use to monitor your system and analyze the results.
