DMAEXCL
This parameter controls a software lock that causes the four-channel DMA controller to use only one channel at a time, that is, not to use its capability to perform transfers on separate channels simultaneously. This is a software solution for problems with early production runs of the chips. Setting the value to ``1'' prevents simultaneous use of the channels within a single chip. Setting the value to ``2'' prevents simultaneous use of all channels for all chips.

NCPYRIGHT
The size of a kernel data structure used to print console initialization messages.

NUMREGPT
Specifies the number of regular pseudo-terminals. Changing this tunable parameter is not sufficient to change the number of pseudo-terminal devices on your system; you must also reinstall the nsu package.

NUMSCOPT
Specifies the number of SCO OpenServer-compatible pseudo-terminals. Changing this tunable parameter is not sufficient to change the number of pseudo-terminal devices on your system; you must also reinstall the acp package.

PDI_TIMEOUT
Enables and disables the SCSI command timeouts that allow for recovery from bus and device hangs. The default value is ``1'', which indicates that SCSI command timeouts are enabled. When the value is set to ``0'', the SCSI command timeouts are disabled. You can use the sdi_timeout(D3sdi) command to change this tunable.

SDI_REGISTER_DELAY
Specifies the delay period, in seconds, for devices becoming ready.
