Administering filesystems

Setting anonymous NFS access permissions

In the Filesystem Manager:

  1. Choose the shared directory from the main list (change the View if necessary) and select Share -> NFS -> Modify Share Configuration.

  2. Click on Advanced Options.

  3. Select Allowed or Not Allowed in ``Anonymous Access''.

  4. Requests from unknown users will have the UID present in the ``Anonymous User ID'' field (-2 by default) unless you change this value.

NOTE: root users (UID 0) are always considered unknown by the NFS server, unless they are defined in the root option discussed in share(1Mnfs).
