Changing the system time zone

You can set the time zone in two ways:

In the International Settings Manager, select ``Time Zone'' in the main screen and select Settings Modify (or simply double-click on ``Time Zone'').
In the System Time Manager, select Host Change Timezone .

Select the ``Country'' and, if appropriate, the ``Timezone''. If you cannot find your country or timezone, you must select whether it is east or west of Greenwich Mean Time, and the hours and minutes from GMT. For example, select GMT+2 represents two hours east of GMT.

NOTE: Any users logged in (including root) during the time zone change operation will not see the change until they log out and log in again. This is because the timezone variable (located in /etc/TIMEZONE) is read at login time.
