Hardware and Driver Development

The Hardware and Driver Development documentation set (HDK) includes manual pages, reference articles, and supporting information for customers who are developing device drivers or file system architectures to run on UnixWare 7 and SCO OpenServer. The manual pages also include information about developing versioned interface drivers for SCO UnixWare 1.X and SCO UnixWare 2.X. Note that the driver interfaces as well as the files and utilities used to install, configure, and package drivers are included in the main operating system releases; the HDK does not need to be installed on a system to access these.
